GIULIA CARABELLI urban sociologist
Giulia Carabelli is an urban sociologist. She holds a PhD in sociology at Queen's University Belfast and a Masters in Research Architecture at Goldsmiths College University of London. Her PhD thesis, developed as part of the "Conflict in Cities and the Contested State" project, examined the process of reconstructing Mostar in Bosnia Herzegovina. Her research explores the roles and potential of grassroots movements and civil society actors in the making of urban spaces in contested and politically fragile environments. She has been collaborating with several NGOs and grassroots organizations in Bosnia Herzegovina as research consultant and adviser.
GIUSEPPE SPATARO user-centered designer
Giuseppe Spataro is a user-centered designer with a penchant for information architecture. IPMA certified project manager, he holds that role at PUSH design lab and Adiacenze Art Factory.
He holds a master degree at MIP Business School of Politecnico di Milano and an academic background in Development Economics at University of Bologna. After some cooperation experiences in the Middle East, he worked as a consultant in Brussels in projects of social innovation.
